Saw your car yesterday Tanya. Really pleased for you. Most Chargers John has had have HAD to have that amount of metal replaced as despite what some might say, unless done before properly they WILL need it. You will only need to get it done once, and once done, you will know you have one of the most solid B Bods around. Its a great feeling. I think you are doing the right thing no question about it.
I couldn't believe the filler in it. Just think, it'll be all metal soon.
Top job you and John

Is that look because .......
a) You're pee'd off due to previous crap craftmanship, or
b) You're just straining to hold that up straight due to the weight with that amount of filler in there
(Looks like you're holding up a piece of plasterboard from the side it's that thick

)
Either way, you don't look too impressed

........ The Wrath Of Tazet ....
Looks like you two have made the right choice leaving it where it is
Good luck with it guys

Thanks guys and Jules I think options A & B together.
You are both right and as you said at least I know what is now being done to it is correct and not botched.
Clivey I did say it had a lot of filler in it but now you can see why I decided to leave it where it is.
John did say to me that it now looks like most other Chargers that go through there now we've got ti straight.

Yes the panels look great, just got to see how they all fit together. Hopefully with not too many problems.
John is doing the body and I'll be doing the rest in theory but that's quite a few months away yet so just trying to figure out what's needed. Probably everything. Might have sourced a complete 383 engine but will let you all know when I know more.

Yesterday we made a little journey up to Bakewell to obtain the little donation made to me by a very very mice man.

It used to be the heart of Pinball Wizard and will now be the heart of mine. When it was taken out it was a fully running motor. It does need a few bits but the guy said all it will need is a good service and it will run. It's been sat in a heated garage for a few years and all holes were blocked up at the start. The dizzy cap is broken but easy enough to replace. It needs leads and plugs and a few other bits but it is basically complete, unlike the bits I got with the car. The carb is a carter one.

Pretty sure that's the 383 that it used to run after Simon Banfield stopped racing it. Nice bit of history...

Yes it is a 383 lump. I'm really chuffed and it is as it was when it came out the car. I know it won't match the colour of my car when it's done but I would like to keep it as close to this as possible just because of the history behind it.

What a result, lucky find
Try and get hold of a solid flex plate if you haven't got one with the car bits
