Hi a quick update on the Coupe from the Wheels Day weekend,
I landed back in the UK late Wednesday night and hit the ground running first thing after breakfast Thursday morning, i got to the garage early to do any jobs that was still required, my road tyres had already been fitted to my steel wheels, but there slightly to wide but i didn't have enough time to drive to London to fetch Bacca's wheels that he offered to lend me
:thumbright:
So i drove the car back to my place with what i can only descibe as open headers  :D
After i got my head to stop pounding and my ears bleeding, i went and got some ear plugs :D
After waking the whole village Friday morning, myself and MCK in his Goat had a great drive over to Rushmoor arena, with the ear plugs in it just sounded like a loud and sweet motor, however in realilty people must of thought all Hell had broke loose as i was enjoying myself by giving it a bit everywhere i could :D
A cracking day at Rushmoor, the weather was great, and record numbers i would of thought, so just to be safe i checked the fluids before leaving, the oil needed topping up as it was breathing heavy on arrival, after leaving the bottom exit with a quick bootfull through the gears, i found the temp going through the roof, a couple of miles i pulled over to check and i had no fans at all, so as i didn't want to sit around to long on the side of the road we took the boot lid off to help the rad expel the hot air, we managed to get to Fleet Services before it got to hot again, so we went through the fan circuits we couldn't find any reason for the fans to fail, Steve bypassed the fan controller and they work ok, so off we go again oh and another 20ltrs of fuel just to be sure we would make it
Overall it took two hours to get home, probably for me its a forty min journey normally, the loss of oil looks to be the rear sump pan lip or rear bearing
But Man what a blast :D 8-)
