When you talk about back space are you talking spacers or similar?

Budgie, are those 10's or 6's?

Backspace is the measument from the back of the mounting face of the wheel to the edge of the rim on the inside of the wheel.

So if it has 5 inch backspace you will need 5 inch + to the nearest point of contact . eg a shock or bodywork so it does not touch
Hope that helps

Andy

I think Budgie's wheels are 8 1/2 inch wide

Must be something in the air at the mo 'cos my '68 charger r/t is about to go in for its new coat of paint of sunfire yellow as well.Looks like you're going the route I wanted to by using JPC but unfortunately my bank balance wouldn't allow so I am undertaking most of the work meself :? Saw you mention an original set of yellow steel wheels? Are they 14's or 15's?Anyway ta for putting your pics on here cos' it gave me a boost seeing how good a '68 looks in "mellow yellow" :)

Andy....so glad it's gonna be active this year......Where is the river view diner? And are the any local/monthly meets anywhere in Kent?

R/Tful....is that the original colour of you car or did you just fancy a change? I'll check the wheel size and report back.

It's been a long time but there's a rumour that the once was yellow sausage is back from the dippers today.

Can't believe it.

Due to look at and take pictures of the bare car next week so will post more pictures.

Thought I'd share my excitement with you guys as the wife's not interested.

As per Lee's request, I took some pictures of his car, frecshly back from the acid dippers on Saturday. Sadly they arent too good as she was surrounded by stuff preventing me from getting a clear shot. She is a solid looking car alright. Boot floor is like new. :thumbright:
