Beats me, I spent most of the afternoon looking on the web.
Quite a few tales of very poor quality lifters and most of the manufacturers are going over to roller systems so the quality of hydraulic lifters is questionable.
I'd go solid lifter if it wasnt for the damn cost of all the rocker gear

well its a bodge
but
you can replace the spring in ya current lifter with an appropriate size ball bearing
trouble is the guesswork involved in setting the rocker to valve clearance
and you need adjustable something to get the geometry and clearance right.
none of the benefits of solids (i.e cam profile) but if done right minimal clacking.
typical aussie outback mechanic type trick but given the cost (in OZ) and poor quality of some lifters available (in Oz) some guys would rather get their original cam reground and use the same lifters disabled as above and refaced, rather than replace with a set that are made in Mexico/Brazil/Taiwan from cheese.
has the car stood for a long period of time with these lifters in?
mine was in a museum for 2 years
good lifters when it went in
half of them rubbish when it came out.
the ones that sat compressed for 2 years never really recovered.
are all you lifters the same diameter, are all the lifter bores the same diameter? any funny symbols after your engine number? maltese cross star or some such?

, but i'm gonna put new lifters in, check preload with the inlet manifold off so i can see the cam and start again.
I tell you what, fom the US forums i've read on this topic today, its a suprise that any of these cars are still on the road. Talk about prevelant!

Prevelant=as in 'happens a lot', 'too often' 'regular occurence' etc

well, i fitted new lifters, tried using new pushrods but they won't provide pre-load. Took em out, made up a bench jig and ensured that all my original adjustable pushrods were same length and broke the new lifters in. Result? Lovely quiet engine, I reduced the overall lenght of the rods again tonight to make sure the valves are seating. Seems fine. Heres hoping..
