go for it fella, you its obv you love the car, with the right system and safeguards you wont need to lighten the car or alter it from what you got to drop a 10, and gas or not it will still be very impressive,

A good 500 stroker with the Edelbrock Victor heads will get you the reliable horses to run 10's without gas and still look sweet and original
Im not gonna lighten mine and that will go 11's and then 10's sooon

A 41 Willis is pretty mean looking too.

Dont use gas mate. If you really really really need to go faster (I thought you had had enough and were going to settle with mid 12's) get a dart and stick that 440 in it, and put your other Billydoo built 440 in the Charger and keep that for best cos its a real beaut of a car.
Do you want to just go faster, OR, go faster in THAT charger????

I looked old, weak and tired is what i looked. The only thing i didn't bring to the Nats with me was my flat cap and walking stick.

Come on Dave, you didn't look too bad...a bit feeble compared to your usual form, but that's to be expected.
Let's see you mean and lean next year!
And Adam's Charger mean and lean with a 500 stroker in it
I'm with the don't gas it brigade, I had a good chat with Nick Wood and he's going big inches instead of gas...I also agree with Clivey, the Pit's too nice to race really!

look at it this way adam, fit the gas cheapish option, if you have a big cube mtr built, lots off dollars and it dont work out you will be Bananarama! its really taken me yrs to run this quick, high tens regardless off what people say takes some doin on mtr power alone look at blues dart real light runnin mid 11,s rays dart real light runnin 11.7s, bris charger stripped out to death runnin 11.6s, yours is a heavy car its never gonna 60 foot that well you need a massive top end charge for mph at the top end, this is what nitrous does,
there is already a charger on here with a 500 inch indy head mtr i am sure your charger is as quick with the 440, some oiff the big engines dont work that well, give it real thought mate,

yeah that'd be me
what I need is more practise I dont get to the track that much....and my best 60' is 1.86 but 1.9 is more usual I need to get it to hook up better.
I took the barracuda to the nats expecting it to be wet with not much racing
thing is I asked Dave B to build it mild for the street...now I kind of wonder if its a bit too mild

Build it mild it will run mild...
.....but compression and cam with good heads, ported well and with your chassis which must be working well "will" run the numbers
These guy can point you in the right direction
what these dont know about B/B Mopars aint worth knowing
good guys and good advice and help.
I asked for a recipe to run tens in the Cuda and be streetable i am following that advice....we;ll see
but this is without being pressurised to buy their stuff
basically a tweaked version of this

jon that was not a dig about your inches

yes you had it built mild so its a fully tractable street car running 12s thats great but adam wants 10s i think and thats a different ball game the car will not be such a friendly car on the street then, with nos it still can be for not a massive amount off dollars

This is exactly what i want , a car that will behave on the street & @ a flick of the switch will run 10s (hoping) , so not a bad combo, also don't have to bare bone it.
Only concern is damaging the motor , but lookin into it , if the right system is fitted & the dollar spent , there's no reason to total the motor , sooooo gonna go for it.
Gonna take a trip down Real Steel in the mornin.
