That's it,so we now have a personalised car that not many others like,where a properly restored R/T would suit many people.

Yes mate. I got it from TonyO, but I think it came from someone local who had owned it for about 13 years. I don't think he had the budget to look after it, and it was generally left sitting under a car port and hardly used. It's a mess. Needs a full restoration. The guy who owned it before had a respray done that cost him £800, so you imagine what its like. They painted over the rust! What was it like when you saw it?

Do you know, I think they suit the car.

Some cars look right with big rims, some don't. The Charger has always looked right with fat rubber and 15's. Nice F'bird by the way. My mate used to have one with a straight six and a four speed. One of the best handling muscle cars I've been in.

It's the mechanicals that swayed it for me. As regards the body, you are right, it's a mess. But my plan was to do a full resto on the car anyway, so methinks it might as well be a ropey one 'cos I'm gonna replace the panels anyway. A little rust or a lot, makes no odds.

Look how he routes his wiring and the hidden wiper mod is nice too, cleans up the engine bay.

I think the chaps done a great job. i read all the posts here and then opened up the link fearing the worst! Nope, subtle, like it and sure as hell preferable to the 'dukes' look

Personally, Im better with engines than bodywork, so this was more of a important thing for me...

Nice to hear another Charger has been rescued from Dukedom. I'm the same with mechanicals mate. Not good with bodywork, but I know a man who is. Also, I wanted a unique colour, so it was always gonna go back to bare metal. Have you got some piccies in the Members Car Show?

Im sorry but i buy a classic car because its a classic car,yes i want it to stop and yes i want it to break my neck when i excelerate, But thats about it. I find the seats in my roadrunner extremly comfortable and the dash user friendly i have everything where i want it and it has character and feels like it has been crafted with thought and love

if i want bling wheels custom dash etc etc i would be a ricer i wouldent ruin a good classic
