I was just reminded about this problem while reading a thread on Moparts this lunchtime about Summit Drag Shocks.
I have just been having a look-see on the Summit racing web site to see what lengths they are.

The rears extended are 23.6" long which is a lot better than I have now (I need around 24"). They are adjustable too.

The fronts (if they fit?) are 3-way adjustable 90/10, 80/20, 60/40.

The rears are adjustable 70/30, 50/50, 40/60.

I have several questions....

Would 60/40 on the front do for street driving or would I be better off keeping my KYBs on the front?

I know when on the strip the fronts would be better set to 90/10 but what about the rear?

Of course my main concern is normal ride quality. I would not want road handling to suffer at all.
So would I be better trying to find a KYB the right length and stick to what i know?

Or try something else?

What are Explorer Pro Comp shocks like? Or are they for off-roaders or something?

Yours, shockingly confused,
Dave.

I've driven a car with drag shocks.

OK for cruising gently and great on the strip, but for proper day to day driving I would stick with the KYB's.

On the other hand, the guy who owned the car - a C*m*ro - said it didn't bother him on the street and the fronts I know were 90/10s.
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.
