Richard, I don't think Dunc was rubbishing Gen 3's, he was just making a point about putting £30-40k into a small block (arguably) less desirable shape car. But then putting that into my RT is putting in more than waht it is worth when you consider the original purvhase cost too. We are all in the same boat.

For the record, if I could have got a 71 Charger RT with the right accessories when I bought mycar, I would have had it.

I love em, I just have a different shape Charger. :thumbright:

No need to Justify yourself Clivey,if it makes you happy then thats what counts :thumbright: and if it was not for people like yourself loving these cars then there would be no nice cars left!

I would just like to say Sorry to make the thread negative :( and lets get back to the Great work JPC do and the great cars in the garage

Richard dont take Ray Dunc's comments to heart they are talking about years ago when our cars even RTs! where not woth a great deal compared to today.

Exactly, just re read my comments and they did sound a bit harsh  i was of course referring to how we looked at things years ago gen 3 Chargers are not generally as sought after as other models, but to be honest if you`ve got one and like it then that's ALL that matters No Offense intended Richard :thumbright:

Anyway what do i know, I`ve got an A Body at the Moment and ( apart from Si`s Petty ) they really are the lowest of the low ;)

if we only had 1977 back again having 5 chargers and a superbird outside my house and only paying 250 to 1000 for an RT charger and 1500 for a superbird, how much was a pint back then 20p. anyway we always help those who can't afford a resto we take stage payments and that can be as small as you want how easy is that. its just nice to see the cars looking like new they are works of art after all,

keep the faith :)
