You can get the oil out, done it for years on HGVs, if you have access to some gas bottles, flash over the surface with it,but dont go too mad or you,ll cook the lining. After just clean the soot off with some Emery or Sandpaper.

Is fixed now on both sides thanks for the help.I have still not done any proper hooning in her yet as the some day the bearings were done the Rad decided to spring a leak! some radwell has put a stop to it for now but better get the Rad redone or replaced soon to be safe.

I also have some burnt fingers replacing the plugs while the motor is still hot them shock towers on these Fords make it a pain to get to the middle plugs,you cant beat a Mopar engine bay

Yes Kev the Bearing had burst the seal to the half shaft.
