Trailered? I know it's for charity (and I guess the emphasis is on raising money) but that defeats the whole purpose of the John o Groats to Lands End doesn't it?
I think it should have been driven

would have been far more of an adventure.

Adventure is right, must be alot better for the cars to be trailered with all the crap on the roads at this time of year. think I would only want to drive that journey in the summer with two weeks to spare!
Nice pics Will! 8)

Linda and me have driven 2 x 250 miles in colder and wetter conditions at this time of year in our Challenger before and thought nothing of it. No heater no radio no sweat.
The chassis connectors ended up with a bit of surface rust. But otherwise no ill effects.
A drive of this length over so many days is not that bad. You can easily do 300 miles over 6 hours in a day including comfort stops. Even better with two drivers on 1.5 or 2 hour shifts.
Maybe we should organise an MMA rally? Call it "One Lap Of England" or something. It would make a good magazine feature.
If you made it a circuit up one side of the country and down the other it would take in most major cities. It would be quite a sight seeing that many Mopars all on the road together.
More people could take part and avoid a long drive to the start if people started on the circuit at different points. One car could start off and pick up other cars as it goes around the circuit. Soon you would have a convoy. Stop overnight at a few towns. Then as each car got back to where it started it drops out until the last car to be picked up makes it home.
I would take part in something like that.

I would deffinately be up for that (provided it was organised in enough time for me to get my car back on the road and reasonably run-in)

Spose it saves about a grand in gas though!

Maybe take a leaf from the Truimph 24 hour run or something ... the trouble is I'd be the only one getting respectable gas mileage

Yeah well james. We didn't buy these cars for the mileage did we?
Some people bought them because they want to pose.
Some people because they want to race.
But some of us bought them to DRIVE.
Or all three....

If anyone really wanted to do this would they prefer to all start at one place and travel together or join in somewhere near home?

I don't mind although I think those of us with families might only get away with a day or two away, so I guess having different 'legs' would be good - almost like a relay - main thing would be plenty of notice so that our cars were ready, and we could take some time off work.
But I think it would be a great event.
