It took a little longer than I thought, after getting the car back from being resprayed, I rushed to get it done for Brooklands.

I put the new vinyl on the Wednesday before Brooklands and tore it off the next day, one of the seams was on the Bananarama! and i couldn't live with it like that.

On the Friday Scott brushed painted the roof with Carplan satin black just so i could get to Brooklands, I didn't bother putting the chrome trim on around the front and back window or on the guttering as it would have to come off when another vinyl went on.

I remembered seeing a vinyl for sale on here, so I did a search and it was Craig that had it for sale, I took a chance and pm'd him, he still had it but lived a long way from me.

As luck would have it Wendy (Starks) his wife was going to Shakey the next weekend, a quick phone around to see who, If anyone, close to where I live was going and Bingo, Andy from Surrey Muscle was,
I gave Andy the money for the vinyl in the hope he wouldn't Bananarama! it up the wall before he meet up with Wendy, Thanks Wendy.

A couple of days later I had the vinyl but I had lost the confidence to fit another one so soon, I found someone not far from me to fit it, the only trouble was, he was busy for a while, I contacted some of the guys on here to see were they had got theirs fitted and those guys were busy too, so I just had to wait.

I arranged to have the vinyl fitted on June 10th, that morning I got a phone call to say he was held up on another job and would be here on June 11th at midday, next day he was here true to his word and bang on time, I helped him where I could, so it didn't take to long with both of us doing it.

Next day, Friday, I set about putting all the trim back on, another problem, some of the clips around the back window had broken, so I did the same on my Charger as I did with Dave (TwoLanes) Charger when I fitted his Vinyl roof a couple of years ago, I just used some stickaflex to hold the trim on along the bottom, I wedged a few battens from the joist of the garage to the trim until it was dry, only took a couple of hours. that Stickaflexs sure Is messy, but It just wipes of with lighter fuel, didn't want to use petrol as It has oil in It

Today I took the Charger out of the garage to give it a clean, here is the results of about 4 weeks work.

I'm more than happy with It :D

First four pics are vinyl on, vinyl off, vinyl in bin, fifth pic is off the roof brushed painted.
