The next job is to lower it at the back...The springs are stock ride ...and they sit the same as the old SS springs... Because of the cut away arches i had to start somewhere so i guessed the stock ones would be the best place to start....I have three inches between the slick and the arche ,so i will try some lowering blocks at 1 1/2inches to start with. Cars going of for some work,, and i will update then :thumbright:

If you lower the car without the blocks you will need to check the pinion angle.

Thats all in hand Mick...if the blocks do not work,i will try the front spring hangers with the two holes in.... Mancinis do a beefed up set of hangers with two spring holes ...I will get it to go straight ,just a process of elimination....but i think the shocks were the problem...there is a video on my Facebook page (sorry Duncan) you can see how out of shape it gets...

The car sits about 3inches lower at the back, which is better than i hoped for.....The overall look is better and i am well pleased with the outcome. It needs some 28inch front runners next ..... before and after pictures ,the gap was just over 3inches and its now more than half that ....

Andy is a top bloke, he even used to run a B1 motor many moons ago.

Always helpful, talented & loves a good laugh too :D

Surprised you did not go coil over given all the work that has gone into the shocks, and then saved loads of weight on the springs; but I guess you wanted to keep it old school............

When i had the struts sorted i asked Andy Wright to knock me up a drip tray for under the car.....I have always had this niggly oil leak ,and its fine if you do not mind getting shut of on the line ,or sticking yourself into the rail or even worse sticking the next guy down the track into the rail....Word is the NHRA are going to make belly pans and diapers a must have in all sportsmans class so i had mine made ,,,,,Rear seal and trans always seem to drip of the bell housing ,or in my case moter plate ...It works :thumbright:

It's a sorry day when the car and driver are so old they BOTH need a bag... ;)

Good work there, I wish I had that much ground clearance.........
