Thanks guys, two years to get there and it all seems worth it now...yep, gun finish Steve, but with the aid of a borrowed spray booth, ahem!

R-M Crystaltop Lacquer is the stuff, expensive but that's just 2 coats.

I've even got the mising chrome strip...thanks to Alex's spare runner door!

Nick, you've got nothing to worry about mate, your Runner may have seen some action, but it's still as sound as a pound! :)

Well, As you may have read elsewhere, in my efforts to get the runner to the Nats, I've had all sorts of things go wrong...

parts lost in transit...

accidentally overspraying the front end and the grille with Organasol...

the front bench seat falling to bits when I took the old upholstery off...

busting the windscreen when I tried to put it in yesterday...

then putting a four inch gouge in my new paint when my screwdriver slipped.

But I refuse to let it get me down
:)

It looks beautiful Ivor! It is gutting when you get a run of bad luck and slip ups - but it will be well worth all the effort your putting in. Good luck!

Good for you mate, fantastic job......and still quicker than many of us

When you are out there burning rubber the smile on your face will be a mile wide and all the ups and downs will be forgotten (especially the downs!)

Ivor. When working on the car - shut the garage door to lock the world out and keep repeating to yourself "We are not at home to Mr Cock-Up".

Works for me.

Ivor, just done something I shouldve done a long time ago and checked out your web site thouroghly (theres a reason why!).
Excellent stuff, not just the amazing effort you put into the Roadrunner, but also the work and clarity on the web page, if other people here havent checked it out, do so! 8)
