Ok these are the first picture's, i'm not sure why the front shots are a funny colour!!
The white bonnet is a replacement one as the other had gone along the front edge.
I'll hopefully get across and start getting it ready for the front end to be installed in Jan.

Hi to All.

A quick update,

I tried to get the front end off, but was scuppered by two bolts that go through the cab and hold the inner wing on at the bottom!!!
Why the Hell they put a bolts in that location I don't know
So on my next visit (Weds) the grinder is coming out too play.

The front sheet metal is loose and ready to lift off, so ten mins dealing with the two affending bolts, and I'll take some pics :D

Hi to All,

Good news, the front sheet metal is off, also the steering box and column is out.
Dash wiring removed, bench seat out as well.
So a good shift in all, back over sat for another bash 👍

Hi

I'll try that Mossy :thumbright:

Another good shift working on the truck.
The Gearbox is all but out, just need to disconnect the propshaft and it'll fall out.
The wiper motor is out and I removed the rear window.

Once the Gearbox is out I can get to the Fuel tank and get that removed so I can Waxoil the area behind before refitting the new Fuel tank.

It wont be long before I can start bolting stuff back on :D

Hi to All,

Next update after last nights work on the truck.
Zooming along now, the Gearbox and prop is out, brake master cylinder is off, fuel tank out ( it put up a big fight )
But underneath the truck is solid so no new metal required 😃
All the glass is out ready for new rubbers.
Wiper motor has been replaced with a 12volt one and is ready to go back in.

The wiring fuse board has been mounted ready for the wires to be run around the truck.

Now I'm not sure but while taking bits and bobs off, there doesn't seem to be any primer under the original Green paint?
Very strange but if you lever something off and chip the paint the metal underneath is shiny and new!!!
Almost like polished Ally if you get my drift?

Maybe cos it's a Calfornia truck they didn't give things the same treatment as elsewhere?
It's paper thin and you can pop of flakes with a screwdriver without any effort at all?
