Wow. That brought it all back.
I had a book as a kid called something like "Spaceships 2100-2200AD" or similar. It must have been this guy.
There was one called a 'Tarantula' I really liked. Gotta find a pic now...

EDIT - Scratch that. Its this I was thinking of.

Not a big Star Trek fan.BUT the best looking ship i have seen by far has to be the Klingon Bird of Prey 8-) it even looks good cloaked.

Star Trek 4 is the best by far not just that they are on Earth in the 1980s but also they have a borrowed Bird Of Prey.
