Yep if you go 727 box then you will need to get the prop-shaft or at least the yoke with it and have your prop it cut to fit
From memory i had to have 110mm cut down from the standard Aussie prop with the 727 yoke fitted when i changed over :thumbright:

4 speed info

http://www.slantsix.org/articles/4-spee ... speed1.htm

4 speed bits

http://www.brewersperformance.com/

4 automatic 3 speed with lockup overdrive gear its like a 727 with a top ratio of better than 1:1

JohnR is putting one in his barracuda

727 and 904 fit fine

there is a prop shaft place in feltham that will do you shaft for approx £150 if you go for the 727

basic easy fit

904 easiest as its in
727 fits but need prop shaft
Aussie Borg warner single rail from a valiant direct fit with small block bell housing

cut and shut jobs

A833 american A body or F body 4 speed with 1:1 top
needs floor cut for shift rods and maybe a kink in the shifter

4 speed torqueflites i.e ones with numbers that begin 5
need the centre of the torsion bar box section cut out and the strength put back some other way

other options

Ford Top loader
Toyota supra Turbo R154
Toyota supra W58 with steel sandwich plate

both need torsion bar box section cross meber cut

toyota w50 celica box only good for 300 BHP but it fits ok

for the toyota or ford boxes

castlemanin rod shop or dellow automtive do all the Bits

rear axle

cut down B body 8/34
might get an E body one in there
A body is shorter than standard fractionally

standard Borgwarner M78 needs beefing up if you plan to burn out regularly or drag race properly
