Ok, so I should've taken note of the title of the thread and realised it was only a 1 time a yr event, but it was the way your words came across that I thought it was gonna be a regular series with proper racing as you put it, and I thought at last someone with a bit of knowledge starting a class with proper rules...thats sadly been lacking in this country for a long time.

I don't have a car your right Pete....but you never know, if a "Real" HU class emerged and was run with proper rules and gave everybody a chance...I might get the urge back with a class car, and that would get me out more

I'm not looking to disect posts, I'll leave that for others...I thought that this class could become something really big which would mean you would need a good set of fair rules for once, so I put my views forward as to how I thought that could be.

I thought I might just have enough past cred to do that?

At least one person got my drift :thumbright:
Lez you ran quicker all them years ago with an iron headed moter than i have run to date with mine ,so i have no problem at all with your opinions ...Just give the class a chance ,and see were it goes thats all i ask :thumbright:

Nice to read that your going to get the car tagged and enter into proper competition in Pro-ET Pete.

I reckon you should be able to dial it in at around 9.8s flat out?, you certainly got the motor to do it, lets hope you sort the chassis to cope with all that power, might just need to swap to a 4.56 gear? although I'm sure that motor will buzz past 7000 ok through the traps as it is with 4.88's. Thats what I ran it through at with 4.88's, 7200 w/32's at 133.9, that was pushing it for that old slapper of an engine I had, and I reckon I was a bit lighter than you?

Good Luck with it, and SS

Coming along slowly but surely Pete. It makes me wonder how many perfect cars that may qualify are stuffed at the back of barns and sheds, just waiting for a bit of tlc... ;)

Ivor we all know these cars are out there ,,,
Ivor at the moment the rules are allowing a wide variety of cars in....Its a chance for people to race at a big event without the mountain of rules you need at an MSA event...Next year with hopefully the help of Tim Holmes i would like to bring it to the Nats as well.....also try and get it wedged in at Shakey at some time...but we will see,,,money and time being the deciding factor ...
