All done..... Got rid of the original push fit pipes that go into the engine bay and soldered up some new, permanent fit ones that dont leak. Just need to put all the trim back etc but will leave this until im 100% sure nothing leaks over the next few days or so. Also have to re route the vacuum pipes as they are running a bit close to the water inlet pipes and are getting hot. Lost the radio somewhere along the line but will go through all the connections next dry day when I put the trim back together.

Good learning experience and as Dave said... Easy really on reflection but only after a couple of goes!! :thumbright:

The big thing with this for me is dont try to get the core out on its own from the heater box. I really dont think its possible.... You have to take the heater box out, then take the core out of the box. :thumbright:

Thanks for all your help and encouragement gents... Cheers :thumbright:

Oh hell yeah. You have to drop the whole unit out. Didn't realise we hadn't made that clear.

Problem I had Dave was if you follow the factory manual, it runs you through taking the core out with the box in like its a walk in the park.... It wasnt until I started a similar thread on a US site that a really simple answer, outlining just taking the whole heater box out then the core, came up from a guy who fell into the same trap..... Difference was, he realised what the manual was telling him to do and I didnt. Having done it now, I would say its virtually impossible to take the core out with it still in the box in the car...

Thanks for all your help as usual Dave, cheers
