Back to bare metal this time.
Etch prime, 2K prime, rub, rub, rub some more. water based metallic green then 2K clear.

Faults:
- Prep not perfect some a couple of small low spots and fine scratches that i did not get out with fine enough wet & dry.
- A sag in the clear at the front of the bonnet that should flat out nicely later.
- One drip from the clear hit the base paint and disturbed it. Lesson, make sure the top of the pressurized gravity cup is closed tight!

Still learning right amount of thinning required with the hvlp turbine. Will be getting a viscosity cup to be more scientific.

End result, it is good enough for a first effort and my plan for a 10 pace paint job.

Looks like you are getting the hang of that turbine gun Steve and the results look good! ;)

Thanks Ivor.
Got to say I do like the turbine gun. All the problems have been operator error or inexperience so far... Sure there are more errors I have not even recognized yet.

Must get my viscosities sorted out as that will get me better results on the metallic.... I still had some blobs due to not atomizing this can be seen in the finish.
Yep, it would have been easier going for a solid colour and I always knew this. But I do like a challenge and I did not want to have too much colour difference in the long period it will take me to do the whole car.
