Good day, fair bit of sun, fairly warm and a tail wind down the track
Nice to see you all before the years out, bad luck Jim hope you get the diff sorted, well done Mick for running a new PB terminal speed, just shy of 132mph but bad luck for losing your fuel pump, finally good to see Roydon and Pete out with the Barracuda
Did yer little un last out the day Stu?

Yes Ade. Even saw the fireworks before we headed back, she was asleep before the end of the road though.
Good to see you. Thanks, as ever, to Mary and Guy for plying us with tea and letting us warm up in the caravan, Jess loved it. B-) Mary, you've made a big impression there!
Good to see Roydon and Pete, Jim, Ginge out on the bike and Mick and his chips.
Got some photo's I'll bang up, but too big from my phone.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

Great to see everyone for the last trash of the year. As Ade said the weather was pretty good on Saturday and warm and ques in the fire-up road where fairly low I managed five runs on the day and could have a few more if I had wanted.
The car did exactly what I wanted to and ran consistently with four runs within 0.03 seconds of each other which is what I have been chasing this year.
Well done Mick for the new terminal PB, and Cliff with all his runs in the 9.4's, Roydon and Pete getting a handle on the Barracuda. Really enjoyed the run against Jim in the Challenger.
Roger Luty had a wild ride in his 442 when he tried using the gas with his street tyres, but the wildest ride had to go to Wobbly Bob in his blown 440 CF van which when crossing the line at 117 something locked up causing the van van to spin 360 possibly twice Bobs wasn't sure but does remember it being on two wheels. Thing is he ended up driving the van of the track with no sign of what caused the lock up.
Despite waking up on Sunday morning to sunshine and hardly a cloud in site the rain soon moved in and the wind picked up some of the gusts were quite strong and blowing across the end of the track the chances of getting any racing in was very remote and the event was called, which I think every one understood, At least we all manged to get back on the trailers under our own power I hope everyone got home ok in the winds.
Well that's the season is over for the year and the Dart will be in the garage for a few months getting taller tyres, new gears for the rear and the nitrous fitted to, roll on 2014...
