Thanks men....I bought her from the guy who imported her so still not ticked the import box yet :D

Im mustering up the bits I need to have a go at welding. Ive had lots of offers to help me learn and am planing to use the MIG welder that Blue very kindly sorted out for me. Steve (VGVIP) donated an arc welder to the cause but going to try to master MIG first so I can do the body panels etc. Cant wait to get stuck in!

Im changing the rocker covers for blue originals so will PM you Terry if thats ok? I need a pair with the PCV valve opening on the rear pass side and the filler on the front of the drivers side. Im happy to paint the up and the original air cleaner is going back on. Need one of those black oil filler caps as well if anyone has one? Got water pump off Mick last year so thats going on and getting rid of the glass fuel filter. Got no cash now for a while so all the labour intensive stuff will start soon.

Dave...I love black and red as well......mmm.....what to do???

Steve...Im going to clean and dye the fabric inserts in the front. How do I know if its nylon? Do you have any tips on doing itt? Was hoping a dylon style dye might work but I dont want to mess it up.

Dunc...Alex loves it and wants to get stuck in with me. He has always wanted a project. Al wants to do a cream roof but I quite fancy red painted top with matching red wheels and dogdishes....or even a black top with black wheels and dogdishes. Too many choices!

The bulkhead connector is a bit ropey so will have a look at that. I picked up a pair of Autopal lights at the NEC yesterday for the MOT so thats another job I can get on with.

love the race car pics Carl. She sits quite low so would actually suit that look. Shes a blank canvas really...luckily Kev didnt lamp me last night when I said you snooze you lose!

Thanks again for all the kind words and offers of help...greatly appreciated as always,

Cheers Steve

Well done Steve, keep you nice and busy. I think it looks great in red, but, that black and white race look would be the dog's.
Best of luck mate

Thanks Chris, Im spoilt for options really. My mate can get vinyls made up so I might have a look at that as an option to keep her original as well as having the race car look. Plenty to think about over the Winter.

Give Rose my regards mate

Cheers Steve

Been considering getting some stickers made for the Coronet in black and white for the old NASCAR look until I address the body work. Still undecided.it is a more door ?
Think the Fury would look great this way Steve. :thumbright:
