Thanks guys for the welcome and a few ideas there for sure......
All I got to do now is figure out a way to radius the rear arches and get the front end lowered.......... I'll start another post on that topic
Now, I bet someone has asked this before...... How wrong would it be to put a wing on the back and leave the droop snoop off.........

Hi Raven68,
I quite like 70RR's and a short track replica is a nice idea, but I like the style of Mr Watt's 70RR with the wing on the back and without the vinyl roof, it looks very business-like. It also has the benefit of not being as surgically involved as cutting the rear quarters and more easily reversible should the mood take you.

Only the RR and the Mustang are on the road though if that's any consolation !
I was also thinking of doing a NASCAR Petty theme on my RR....
PS - Thanks Dave for all those past pics from when it went 'oop north' -great stuff......

A Petty car. Now that will upset Carl !!
Only joking. He'd love it parked next to his.
A great idea and would be awesome.
Now I need to rob a bank and build a Petty Belvedere.
Seeing as your a NASCAR man did you see my poll for a NASCAR themed more door ?
I was only trying to wind Carl up really
Oh I see, Petty not good enough Uh!

Wind me up Uh? Come on Raven bring it on!!
Serously do it, it would be great Yourself, Don and I all lined up, that would be awesome around Brands Hatch.
But I have the original fake Petty RR

although it is an original petty blue from the factory I might add

Crank down the torsion bars to lower the front but you will have to get it re-aligned. Mine has been done that way.

Welcome R68. Sorry, first reply went wrong! Its easy to lower the front as Carl says although best to change the torsion bars for hemi ones for the sake of rigidity, but to lower the rear the outer portion of the tubs have to be moved up and squared off to the rear fenders ..... not particularly easy, 2" lowering is about as far as you can go without major alteration if you run big rubber all round as i do. Radiusing the outer fenders is relatively straight forward but you need to check the fronts on full lock. Original NASCAS racers had very limited steering lock.

I think they look better with the rear slightly higher than the front, im sure thats how the NASCAR's run?
