Right, tonight's the night the Dart gets moved from the storage at the side of the barn , to the lift.
And that means............................................................................
At long last the gearbox is coming out :o

Well, It hasn't moved for over a year. I've had the battery still connected, with a trickle charger on, key the ignition, electric fuel pump on, three pumps on the gas, stars first crank, I forgot how good it sounds. :thumbright:
Well its on the lift now, and I've come in doors for a cuppa, tonight's task is complete :)

Only an old picture from last year of the Dart in its storage position, as I left my phone/camera at work

Will post up pics as work progresses.
I have all the gearbox soup up parts needed, apart from a torque converter flex plate to suit the new converter.

I'm still here, but still not done the Dart. Gearbox still on the bench, still under the cover in the corner of the barn. :( :(

I recently found an ignition ECU I built in 2006....
needless to say it has prompted me to start work again on it

i too have a garage full of gearboxes although one has just been sold...

life just gets in the way

I sold the Volkswagen T25 earlier this year, and recently sold the 2005 Mustang.
So hopefully less things to tinker with.
However I did buy a Mk1 Cortina a few months back, that came up at the right price.

Well another year has gone by, the Dart gearbox is still on my bench, the Dart is still tucked away in the corner of the barn, and the Mk1 Cortina is coming along well.
Hopefully I'll be making a start on the Dart again this year.
Where does the time go
