While my bits are on their way over I'm wondering what's the best way to get all the old fluid out to replace with the clear fluid? Obviously I'll have the pump/reservoir out and empty. But how's best to get the rest out of the box without taking everything to bits? Could I remove the return hose from pump and spin it by hand to empty the box?

Kit arrived today. Although the Federal and TRW pumps look the same, it seems like there are differences. I pumped out the old fluid by pulling the return hose and putting it in a bottle and cranking the engine. I swapped the main seal and the ones at the rear. Haven't had much chance to test, but got car out, running and put it lock to lock several times till it got up to temp. Have to see if I get any drips now.

Good to hear you got the job done. Did the pump to reservoir seal appear hardened/flattened at all? Fingers crossed that all is leak free now.

Yes the pump to reservoir seal seemed flattened, also very hard and brittle. When I tried to prise it out with a screwdriver it broke into many little pieces! I only changed that seal and the one where the bolt goes on the rear (what you can see in the pic). After putting it back together I filled with the Jeep fluid, cranked it a few times, topping up with the return in a bottle in hope to flush out the previous fluid. There will still be traces, but hopefully all is good now.
