My 2 cents, if I were ever in the position to buy a 6 figure unmolested car then I'd shell out another 5 for a clone that could be used as the daily!

my idea exactly. had i been big jimbo wilson that luverly hemi cuda he had would have been down the road when the market was high, with the money bought a hemi or sixpack E body clone and an original superstocker racecar hemi.= perfect,,

I was lucky enuff to drive a 67 Plymouth HEMI Gtx survivor car in LA.
Only 30K miles TRIPLE-BLACK and a 4-speed too!
Original owner car that no-one new existed until one unfortunate day,,,
A muppet in an Nissan crashed into it!!!
The owner was very upset, car had to have an NOS fender put on, so it will never be original again?
Thats what happens when you drive'em on da street, MUPPETS drive into THEM!

A pal of mine sent me this link and I thought of this thread...
What a lucky family they must be. It's not a high value car to them... it's just "grandads old car".
This video really resonated with me as I can relate to a lot of things that the owner says about "grandpa". Without boring folk with too many details... I lost my grandad nearly 10 years ago. He was a Jaguar man all his life and that is the main reason there's a “Daimlerised” Jaguar XJ40 parked on my drive. It’s that link to the past which brings so many of us to old cars?
In many ways I think it's such a shame that the speculators have put so many of these vehicles out of reach for most enthusiasts. On the other hand at least they will still be preserved in another 40 years for the next generation to appreciate, assuming petrol hasn't been outlawed by then of course...

That is a great story and a fantastic car! My dream car is a 70 Challenger.
