Great car! I converted my 70 RR to discs, easy job, drums on rear pulls up fine. Gear Vendors Overdrive seems the best option.

So...

We have now discovered that the Spanish Gov. will want a total tax of 50% of the cars value for it to become Spanish registered.

What would it cost to import into UK?

Many thanks

I fitted a Gear Vendors to the Road Runner. Simple install and easy to remove and put back to stock.

Nowhere near 50% that's for sure!

from memory it's 0% import duty and 5% VAT, that's it.

I'm sure Don will know the duty rate, and the registration cost for V55/5 is £55.

Registration process is fairly straightforward here in the UK.

Think this is about right... it would be imported as an Historic Vehicle... maybe import to U.K. Then register in Spain before we part company with the EU

Ive found a great guy called Neil from Specialised shipping in berkshire and he is now handling the full import/registration/tax/mot stuff :)

Then it going on a transporter to Alicante where i will meet it and drive it the 90 mins to Denia and then its a 45min crossing to Ibiza :)
