All of this GM contamination is Dave b’s fault as he said he really likes it now and is thinking about changing camps ...

Fantastic thread.....again, thanks for sharing your fantastic photos!
I love the big Sport Fury but, if I'm honest, there isn't a bad car there at all, all stunning in their own way and obviously steeped in history.
I met a couple at the NEC earlier this month who are planning to go to this show next year. Hope they get there as it looks like the show to beat all shows

Yes everything is the real thing , every year there’s a different theme , I went back in 2012 as well when one of the main themes was the Yenko cars and they had around 40 of them from memory ( everything from the yenko corvair to the 1980 Turbo Z Camaro’s ) they do the show on the anniversary years as well , this year it was 50 years of 1968 model year cars hence all the 68 Hurst olds & 68 road runners & Gtx’s , next year will be good as it’s 50 years since 1969 so I would imagine there will be a cracking line up in the different themes etc etc , I’m not sure if my wife will wear it two years on the trot though I may have to wait another 6 years before I go again.

Brilliant thread Chris thanks for taking the time to post so much. As Pete prophesied..........
Absolutely superb event and fantastic pictures.
I am sure that the "Connected" Editor will be knocking on your door upon your return.
Trip of a lifetime, thanks for taking the time to post up.
All the best.
Pete
..........yes I am indeed knocking on your (electronic) door! The end of year Connected is in final layout, so I'd love to use a lot of those photos in the first one in 2019. Firstly, you OK with that? Secondly, I can take some of the words from your posts but if you have some time whilst munching on leftover turkey can you write a bit more please!? Either PM or email me Chris please if you're up for that.....not War and Peace but just some more detail, opinions etc
Many thanks, Simon

Glad you enjoyed it Guy , yes the GSX was the real thing with that big front spoiler , it was the original prototype & show car , it also had a four colour interior as well - worth a google if you have 5 mins , there were another 10 or so 70-72 GSX’s as well but they were the usual run o the mill ho-hum regular production ones
