1971 NHRA World Finals Dallas Texas with my 1970 purple Dodge Charger R/T 440 6 pack super 4:10

a chap from Manitoba Canada drives his 6 Pack 70 Charger to Texas for the 1971 NHRA World Finals. Includes Sox and Martin, Dick Landy, Linda Vaughan, Bill Jenkins. about 1200 miles in a 440 6 pack with 4:10 gears , but gas was only 36c / gallon then. some of those cars can only be a couple of years old.

Great video and what an amazing car.

Love when the 65 pulls up alongside and Jay says…”that’s one of those old fashioned piston engines isn’t it…”

I made regular videos of the US Mopar Nationals in the 1990’s and put them all on YouTube.
I walked around the Nats with my video camera talking about the cars and to some of the owners.
I also filmed the fun and games in Brice Road in the evenings.. Enjoy.

Thanks Jim,
The first thumbnail I saw, looking on your link, was the first UK Mopar Nats in '94 so I watched that.

Wow. Not sure if I've seen that before but it's been so long, I may have forgotten, but it was so good seeing all the familiar faces from all those years ago... dearly departed Jason Woods, Tony O and Paul Worrall, plus John Maynard, Pete Webb, Adam Ford, Tim Holmes, Graeme Arno, Chip-shop Chris  , Dinger, Kakey etc etc ... ahh them were the days :D

I wish I'd bought one of the event t-shirts now
