Next mod ... just had to get shut of the Cali tail pipes. The new tails are s/steel 3”dia with a 2.25”ID inlet. Had to add a short length of 2.25” pipe to the tails to get them to protrude out far enough from under the car after cutting the droopy bit off. Have used the rear hanger u-bolts to clamp the tails on :D pics ...

yeah, wasn’t sure what to do with all that when the tank went back up after the trunk floor was done, do those 4 pipes need to be connected or can they be capped off?? The gas tank vents thro the filler cap right?? The gizmo in the trunk that looks like a piece of scaffold tube  is present, and there’s a fifth pipe that runs forward (following the same path as the fuel pipe) to the engine bay, where it is capped off!! So I guess the ECS is present but not connected to anything?? Can all the redundant plumbing be removed??

I’m probably going to need a new gas tank sometime in the future, I noticed when it was off that the top side is quite rusty and it must be getting a bit thin!! I’ve seen replacement gas tanks listed with and without connections for the ECS, I guess I could get one without the connections if the ECS isn’t connected to anything up front??
