I think it is a white hat special - and the Charger I have, I think was also a white hat special!!

Just found this pic of the day I got the Charger.
It was 11th October 2003.
Didn't look too bad, but roof was red raw rusty.
Have you found out anymore from Ernie about the car?

Finally found time to round up all my old photos off my daughters computer before she heads off to uni, and found a load more of this Charger.
Look at the length of those spring hangers!!!

Hi Tim haven't had a chance to call him yet as just been so bogged down with work at the moment. Thanks for the photos. It's a real shame the kids that had it after you pulled the engine apart and car apart as it would have made my life a little easier for me if I'd done it myself. Oh well nothing can be done about that and I've just got to do the best I can.

Thanks. We are too far in now to turn back. Just had an email from Jacks and they now have my parts in and hopefully will be shipping over on Tuesday. This parcel will contain a roof, hood, jamb pillars, guttering, light panel, (rear) and other things that I can't quite remember at the moment

Mein Gott Tazet - that is rough. You are certainly braver than me... Mind you, I bet a few look like that under the paint (mine included)

Out of interest (it may have been covered and I missed it) what is it about THAT charger that made you decide to go with it rather than get one that was a bit more 'solid' ? Not knocking what you are doing - it is an interesting decision though and I would be curious.

There are numerous reasons & I am by no means speaking on behalf of Tazet, usual scenarios/answers tends to be....

Lets say, you want to buy a car/any car......... a good one costs £20k, average one is £12k, one needing serious work £8k.

We all deep down know the best you can afford is the best option, but we dont always have the funds available at that time

So we buy what we can afford, then pay or do what we can over a period of time

This gives the opportunity of ownership, we save money & we do the work in installments.

Is this more expensive, yes & most know that, but it meets our needs & pockets

Others, its purely down to the challenge & the feeling of achieving the goal others declined

Or buy a car which we believe to be better than we 1st thought, be this through inexperience, deception, unlucky, blah, blah.....

My favourite, is that we see a car & decide this is the one for me, despite being warned of the pitfalls, we only see the good, we know its not always right, but just cant help it

What ever the reason, I think Taz & the gang @ JPC are doing a great job & the outcome will be another outstanding result, another Mopar saved & a really happy owner
