I thought TTI now do systems that fit with Gear Vendors units - sure I saw one on display at Mopar At The Strip

Somebody told me all exhaust systems are "custom".
I thought I might have to tweak the system a bit but never thought it would be THIS far out.
With the number of cuts and welds I have to make I may as well be making one from scratch again.

Didn't see anything about it on their web site. Can't wait another two months for another one either.

come to think of it, I think it was in one of the Mopar mags recently as a new product.
like you say, quickest solution probably includes hacksaw & welder

No need to wait Dave, at least you have a good baseline to start from.
Your end result will be a custom, but not from scratch............rest assured it will fit better than anything they offer.
Will take a bit longer, as most jobs do, but will be worth it in the end

It says "Application will fit with a Gear Vendors Overdrive".
Must just be me then.

Well I put all the ups and down on here Adam so that others are better informed and know what works and what don't.
Not everyone wants to make cock-up after cock-up and spend loads of money for little gain. I think you have that technique nailed down anyway.
I could just keep it all to myself I suppose. Say nowt and try to look clever. Just produce a finished result and say "Oh this is just something I threw together at the weekend and it only cost me a grand to do the whole car from start to finish". Then watch in amusement as others try to copy and bankrupt themselves in the process.
I do this despite not being able to afford it because of the passion I have for these cars. Not because I am a flash git with disposable income.

There's a list of numbers after the item application. Footnote 7 does not appear which means they don't fit with GV.
http://www.ttiexhaust.com/Exhaust_Systems/3.0H.htm
They also list header adapters if not using TTI headers.

Yeah I was expecting to have to make header adaptors.
But as a normal 2.5 inch exhaust system fits with the GV without any problems I wasn't expecting serious clearance problems with their 3-inch.
Also their diagram shows the pipes running well apart from each other. Not almost touching. Which means the prop shaft loop also is in the way too.
Oh well. Out with the angle grinder tonight then.

Lighten up Dave , i was only pulling yer chain , i know fullwell the aggro that goes with these cars coupled with aftermarket parts.
I can quite easily pull up a few quotes which you have made in the past , but we all take it in our stride.
I WAS ONLY MESSIN.

Bit harsh Dave

Edit - just seen your apology
Dont stop posting this level of detail of your progress, it's one of my fave threads on here
Our TTI system fitted like a glove..... and just about as tight too (in places). No chance of using our prop loop either

But we'll get one made up ...... sometime soon
