Well, I would buy a new sensor if the Bananarama! answered the poxy phone &
& told me the part Number !

I know its a Bosch WB02 & Part Number is:- 0 - 25 - 007 -???, but don't know the last missing digits

I do know it is a 5 wire sensor

There probably around £100 & I don't mind buying one, as if its not the cause at least I will have a spare.

Well, I removed the existing Lambda tonight & it was completly black, sooted up, so have given it a clean & will try it tomorrow. But will still try & order a new one

Bet you didn't know Bosch manf over 11,200 O2 Sensors

I gave up looking after 2,000

Amazon is a good site if your ever in the same predicament, as they provide photos of the sensor & the plugtype

As you say,depends on the plug. Some of the universal type come only with a pigtail,you then have to make your own arrangements with a soldering iron.

Well cleaned the Lmbda & re installed & no difference

Oh, well I will get there eventually.

On the plus side, went for drive today, only 6 mile round trip, but felt as good as 60 miles.
Caused quite a bit of comotion, what with a the staring, people braking to see what it was.

Didn't go to mad

Feel a bit more inspired & ready for the next batlte with the F/Inj

Starting to gain more information & getting a better understanding from all the traces I'm doing.

Not seeing any O2 Corrections, AFR is jumping all round the place, so will wait for new Lambda, to see what difference that will make

I have attached a file, too see the info gained from a 30 sec recording. Traces can be viewed as a run/graph on BS3 program or viewed as an excel file. Had to remove a lot of the info due to file size but gives you the idea
Also added a screen dump, to show you how it looks on the BS3

Eureka !

Finally made a break through..... Bloody MAP sensor/vacuum signal, it's a long story & one I can't be rsed to go through now

but feeling a lot happier.

Like having a different engine, much crisper, A/F ratio on the money around 14:1, hunting has dissapeared, idle slightly high, but stable. Motor responsive to computer changes, etc.

Run out of time tonight, but will work on pulling some timing out & smoothing the timing transition.

Well, what I can say is, that the last few weeks I have been pulling my hair out.

But the good thing is that I have a better understanding on my software & the fault has taught be to delve deeper & forced me to learn. Even though the engine was Not responding to the changes, due to MAP sensor not knowing whats going on & sending garbage signals back to the PC.

My biggest mistake was not using the record function & studying the engine traces.

It was the traces from yesterday, which pointed out that MAP was not changing & caused me to check the sensor/vacuum.

The other good thing, is that now the motors not running rich like a pig like before, should be a bit cheaper to run........ Did £40 of fuel on a 6 mile run & playing in the driveway
