That's excellent news Mark, I've gotta say, all that technology would slow down my diagnosis of the problem, which is why I'm remaining old skool...and because I'm a chicken!

Whats that saying, don't count your chickens till they hatch

This motor gonna be the end of me..... Not
MAP sensors working well now, motor no longer huning, but can't slow the idle down, again
Hoping its an air leak...

Otherwise I have pretty much run out of ideas
Removed all the F/Inj, Hat, Blower & inlet mainfold today, gave it a good clean up & fitted new gaskets, plenty of sealant....
Also fitted new burst panel , new Lamda sensor, even changed the oil, new set of plugs & gave the oil filter a good clean out & refitted
(System 1)
Pleased to say that no bad signs in the filter, so thats a good thing, well somethings got to eventually go my way.
Too late to try now, plus it will give everything chance to set over night. Then time for fireup in the morning.. I hope I have cured this time, so want to go to Krispy Kremes on Sunday

I forgot how bloody heavy my Blower is

I reckon car would be good for a couple more tenths if it didn't have to lug that lot around
Back needs a good soak tonight
At least I am thinking positive, as gave the wheels a clean up tonight

Yeah, it looked like there was some fuel leakage marks on the blower inlet manifold in two areas. I'm working on the assumption if fuel can cross out, then maybe air can go in ..... Will find out

tomorrow

Little Update, well fired the car today & she went straight to 2,000+rpm

Shot & Duck were right on the tip of my tongue
Adjusted the max TPS at idle to 5% & she calmed right down, back to 1,400rpm. Once warmed up, rpms started to rise, so started pulling loads of timing out.
I let it sit there from cold to 180+degs & idle maintained 1,400ish RPM, with out any hunting.
Might not seem like much of an acheivement, but haven't been able to do that for a while
Had a couple of miss -back fires, but think I can cure that, if I smooth timing transition out, balance fuel.
S/ware is quite handy as has an interpolate feature, so relatively easy to do. But will see how it is on the road, before doing any changes.
Planning to go to the Donuts tomorrow, might even get my mate to drive & see if I can do adjustments while were driving.
The above story is the whole day condensed into 2 mins reading, Bananarama! was that simple in real life
