That's true. I'm rather partial to 71-72 Mustangs, Pantera's, Lotus Esprit's and Ferrari's.

Not sure at what point 'chutes came into use on door cars. They may well have started using them because the run off areas on some of those early tracks were a bit short. My favourite is still the one where the run off area goes uphill into a copse and then off a cliff, genius...

Maybe that's where the parachute was introduced?
