Fitted a new electric fan this week, as old electric fan was struggling when in traffic. New fan is rated at 3,300CFM & also has a shroud, so hoping it will do the job.
What should of been a simple couple of hours job, turned into major mod. Moved the rad back 3", as fan was too close to bottom hose, forcing hose into blower belt.
Had to fabricate new mounts, but still wanted to be able to remove the front without touching the rad. Initially, was going to use a cross brace/member (thanks for your help Jerry) but ended binning that

& eventually thought of a much simpler mount
With the rad being moved 3", was unable to put on the bottom hose, so had to cut bottom neck off the rad & reweld neck at 45 Degrees. Had to remove the bottom hose joint & recrimp to suit the 45 degree neck. Also had to extend one of the top hoses. Hoses were a pain, as fiddly cutting off the crimped joints & not damaging the hose.
Pleased with how it turned out

just need to fabricate a couple of stays tomorrow, no big deal, just a couple of saddle clamps, bit of tubing & couple of rod ends for adjustability.
Had to weld a ally pad on the rad, so I can mount temp sender. So need to buy a 6mm compression olive/fitting tomorrow,to hold the sender. But wont drill & tap pad, till I have got the fittings. Most likely end up down the boat shop, going through all their fitting

If you have a boat shop nearby, I highly recommend, as they seem to have an abundance of various fittings in Aluminium & Stainless. As opposed to regular brass fittings.
As usual, big thanks to my mate Paul, for welding & helping me from further self mutilation... In the last week, I have sliced a slither off the top of my thumb, gounged my finger & today, slipped with the drill today & drilled through my thumbnail
I hope it works after all this
