Dave my Dad wanted an Aston all his life....bought one a year ago works DB7.....HATED it, they gave him a DB9 to try, hated that
They even gave him a Auto works DB7 and it made no difference.....

They drive like old cars, visabilty is appauling, leg space is non existant and the Handbrake
I drove them all and the Cuda drove better than the Works DB7
and my Dad traded his Monaro in for it....and he said the Monaro, would have kicked the DB7 or 9's ASS

That was his Childhood dream shattered

i would think that dave is talkin about an AM V8 or VANTAGE, circa 72 -88 a different car to the modern ones, i had a 73 am v8 auto, it was gutless no torque got goin if you wound it up , but it drove circles round any mopar even my runner, it really did not have the power to ever up set it on the turns, an aston off this vintage is a terrific car, a vantage must be a weopon with the xtra power and a manual box aint no way a cuda is gonna live with that on the street steve

Say what yer like about the Mopes , i've had all sorts of high class motors , the last one i had would p$$s all over a mope for class & elegance , but i always prefered the charger for the 'feel good' factor & raw grunt.

What motor 40 years ago would keep up with a muscle car weighing near on two tons , pretty comfortable too.

Motors these days have come on leaps & bounds , no comparison , not forgetting if yer brake down it's tow truck time , no fixin @ the side of the road.

The motors manufactered today will never be classics , how you gonna restore them?

Correct.

But I wouldn't say no to a modern one either. I saw a turbo'ed vantage once in the '90s that just blew me away. Depends on what I can afford and what I find exciting to own.
As I get older I will be looking toward something with comfort and quality but with a strong V8 or V12.
I wouldn't expect it to be like my Challenger. In fact I hope not. I love my Challenger to bits but I can't use it as a daily driver and I can't see me driving it when I am 60.

I will be wanting the Aston as a daily driver for myself (with a smaller car for the wife). I want to concentrate on other things later in life. There is more to life than MoPars you know? or even cars?
Recent events have brought that sharply into focus.
I don't want to spend the rest of my life on my back in a garage for little or no reward. Plus I don't know for sure if I will ever fully recover from my brain damage.

I think the day will come when I will prefer the easy life. I have done nothing but fight and struggle for the last 48 years. I am tired of it.

WHAT`S THE ANSWER THEN?

Gentlemen.......we digress somewhat. The original question was "Is a Jensen really a Mopar".

It's not a real Bentley though is it Dunc ;) you'd have a much different outlook on the minions that drive normal cars like yours if you had a 1929 3 1/2 L or similar.
