Clivey wrote:Dave Bishop used to make me groan with the stories of cars he had pass though his hands, and the prices they went for. Bottom line was, no one really wanted them. He told me a story of a SBird (sure it was a V Code) for sale at Alexandra Palace. The guy wanted about £1800 for it, and it was quite a decent car.

The other one he came out with was the original inlet manifold and twin 4bbls from a 426 Hemi that was used as a door stop. They got skipped in the end as they were in the way.
NO WAY, would the owner of this superbird ,ever offered it up for sale at £1800.....Dave must of been on lsd at the time... ;)

I was thinking about this last nite as I went to bed (as you do  )

Spooky Rob - so was I. I was thinking I'll rename my scanned photos by reg no to make them easier to find later. A shared photo database resource would be fantastic - I'd be very happy to contribute.

Suggested attributes: Reg No, Year, Model, Variant (R/T etc), Motor, Colour, Owner, plus Year of pic, Venue, Photographer, and a text field for Other Info - that should do it.

I'm sure I saw PPV 405R on display in the Driver's Enclosure at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years ago, when Chrysler was a major sponsor. Thought it was Tony O's old one at first, but then realised it was a different Reg.

Andy if it was Armets superbird in about 1981/2 he offered it to me for £2400 I sold him my 68 coronet and I couldn't afford the superbird so I bought a 1969 GTS instead. You could tell Armets superbird it was a manual and he had altered the hood and inserted the air grabber into it
