excellent news.
I'm currently quite anxious about a staffy (Kate) that i used to look after a lot,
(see
http://www.moparuk.com/forums/viewtopic ... &start=345)
The guy works all day and leaves her in a crate in his flat which has no heating, and she has no access to water until he gets back home then the only excercise she gets is walking down the stairs, ouside for a poo, then back in. This is not doing her heath or temperament much good , but the guys new girlfriend (who also works full time) has taken a dislike to me saying the dog is none of my business (despite me helping raise her from a pup since the guy had no time for her).
Its so frustrating becuase I constantly offer to come and pick her up, let her play here all day with my dog, which they both absolutely love doing, yet he'd rather let his dog suffer rather than take me up on my offer of having her here maybe even just one day a week, because he doesn't want to cause arguments with this psycho girlfriend, who has become posessive of not only the guy, but his flat, and his dog it seems. She'd rather see the dog stuck in the crate the whole time rather than having a life. Things got so bad the other day after repeated refusal over 9 days for me to even check in on the animal for 2 minutes, that I ended up staying up all night (couldn't sleep) so that i could wait outside their door and see the dog when she was taken out for her morning poo by the evil girlfriend. I was so wound up yet still managed to politely ask if I could see her just for a minute. The dog was going bananas trying to get to me knowing what fun spending the day with Will and Tara is. I was told to F off, so I bent down, unclipped her from the lead and legged it back to my car. I just didn't care of the consequences, I wanted that dog to have one freaking day out of that place. She threw up in the car and she was covered in her own diahreaa. She looked thin and ill so I took her straight to the vets for an opinion and to get weighed. You could see her ribs.
I took her back to mine and she had a big bowl of decent dog food (not the cheapo biscuits they feed her on once a day) and a shower.
She was so happy to be there and really perked up and played with Tara the whole day. The guy rang me and told me if i didnt give her back the girlfriend would call the cops. I said fine, go for it!
Cops never came, they were not called. Guy turns up later and argues with me for an hour and eventually I hand her back. This was 3 weeks ago and they have not let her come here since depsite me trying to talk sense into them. the guy has let me see the dog twice by meeting me for 20 minutes somewhere , without his girlfriend knowing. Grrrrrrrrr.
Im worried I might do something drastic if things don't improve for that little dog.

Will, that is terrible, i know how happy that dog was, remember i came up with a view to having the 383 out of your Fury wagon?
Kate was running around like a mad fool with Kayla my German Shepherd
Why do people do this to animals, it makes my Bananrama! blood boil.

Dont even start me again...
Its a level of mentality I cannot even comprehend. What on earth do they think they are doing. They dont think. They are self obsessed cruel evil (bleeps).
Waste of space and oxygen - they should be strung by their danglies.

Some years ago, I would have suggested calling the RSPCA, but they are not the association they once where.
Sounds like it's out with the black balaclavas, night vision goggles and liberate Kate...then we'll take those two scrotes outside and put them to bed with a shovel...best thing for them.
I'm sorry to hear that Will, this is not good news.

Kate's a great looking Staffy, how could they keep her in a crate in a flat. These people want........... No I wont say it!
Will if you get the chance, kidnap her again and give us a shout

Its hard to get my head around this Will :evil what is the world coming to?
I think its time to bring back the Dog License, and even a test to pass to become a Dog owner.
I hope this gets sorted out!!

nice one. as for Kate.. managed to pop in that flat for a couple of minutes a week ago, the guy now has another puppy too, they both get left in crates in the bedroom all day now, 5 month old pup, that really isn't right. He rekons it is a pitbull, but its just as likely to be some kind of Lab x Staffy.
He says his girlfriend usually only works half days so is there either morning or afternoon , but I don;t think that is true I don;t think she goes there until evening, never seen her car there during the day.
i dunno what to do , im not exactly feeling like the best dog owner ever today as i stupidly let mine off the lead (in season) and she spotted a beagle running loose and they ran and ran . when i ran after and finally caught up with them they'd had sex. grr now I have to deal with all that.

Dogs cannot be left in crates all day and given water and brief exersise once a day - NO WAY
and what are they thinking getting a second one - are they flippin thick
??
I dont understand what pleasure they are getting from owning a dog if they cant be arsed to even walk it
get the RSPCA on it even if they are useless these days - Its worth a try
Will dont beat yourself up about yours running off-happens to me all the time - thats dogs for you- at least you were out and about with here - not left rotting in a crate GRRRR
