I had the hearing mate, and that went well

however still no decision as yet

I should know by Monday, Union said i will be fine, but i do not think so? in today's climate it would be a good move for them to sack me as there are possible redundancy's coming so it would save them having to pay me out further down the line, that's just my Gut feeling.

Thanks mate,i should have know better i know the rules! but that day was a one of event for me,(posting mail back into the system)if i was a bent Postman i would have been sacked years ago,i still worked over my time on that day so i wont lose any sleep over it,its a bit like been in the Police or Military in that your expected to go over your time if need be? and in any weather. Its time for me to move on from it anyway.
At least I'm not in Jail!,which i would be for doing it in the Army

I found out yesterday i will be getting my P45 next week
No surprise, what a time to get the sack in today's climate
I do still have an Appeal

and i will be represented by the North West area union Rep who thinks i will win,but the same people said i would not be sacked so we will see?
Thankfully i have another Job lined up thanks to a good mate and neighbor i owe him big time.I have helped him in the past with few small things but i was not expecting anything in return so this is great.
Its not what you know, its who you know
I just need to get my Taxi License for it to go ahead,so i now need to do a knowledge test of Wigan So all February i will be on a push bike learning every street in Wigan

thankfully it is only very tiny in comparison to the London Knowledge test.
I had better go and Buy a Wigan A to Z!
If i win my Appeal I'm still going ahead with this new Taxi Job opportunity

I will also now have weekends free in Summer for Shows(if we get a Summer?)
Thanks to all who have read this

no need to reply
I will try and only post positive threads for the rest of 09.
P.S i do live in Bolton

but the job is in Wigan and its only a few miles from me in case you were wondering why?

Best of luck with the appeal anyway.

I just had a package lost because the postman put it back in the post.
It was recorded delivery. He came when I was out.
But rather than taking it to the local office for collection by me, apparantly it is "normal practice" for them to Bananarama! into a post box so that it goes to the sorting office in Gateshead and then comes back to my local office.
But it has not come back. The guys at my local office say that because it was from overseas it was probably sent back to the sender.
You can't imagine how angry I feel right now. That is £30 I can't afford GONE.
If any of your customers on your route are feeling like I feel at the moment then I think it would probably be better if you didn't go back. Because if I see my postman in the street he is going to be very sorry indeed he Bananarama! around with me.

Well i think they are telling you Bull Dave at your local P.O they keep them for 3 weeks at Gateshead if they are recorded and one week if its Special before its RTS if it was over 3 weeks ago? then you have left it to long mate.

It's only been 4 days now (and my third visit to the local PO). I will call customer services on Monday and see if they can do anything to find it.
Meanwhile I am listening to a "Chill Out" album and taking my tablets...
