I saw this quote on Racing Junk, and thought of Pete straight away "If you don't come walking back to the pits every once in a while holding a steering wheel in your hands, you're not trying hard enough" :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

well Bananarama! the leak then that will get taken care of during the build if it was slipping gears etc i would think the trans was blowing fluid out of the breather in the bellhsg thats if it has not been relocated,

you know where i am if you want the trans tip top,

Must be me, but I dont think about what car they drive when considering work being done.

My instincts are based around; Reputation, Word of Mouth, Quality of service.

Naturally I will compare costs, but that would not be my key deciding factor, within reason

The comment about the Rooney Rides was a joke by the way.... anyways took me old bumpers of ....someone at some time has made some nice fiberglass bracketts so they will be reused....they will be fixed back on with Zeus fittitngs....the old bolts were mank.....I am reliably informed its a better job to get them wrapped in a chrome effect finish....so thats what i will have done.....all the fittings will be drilled and riveted after the wrap has been applied.....not a very glamourous post but a post none the less :thumbright: and Duncan when i have rounded up the bits for me gearbox i will get a price of you .....

Glad to see your still hard at it.

I will be interested to see how the bumpers come out, as could consider doing that to mine.

Keep us posted, all the best for 2013 :thumbright: :thumbright:

Made a few phone calls regarding chrome wrap.... spoke to a couple of firms both had the same story, without going into to much detail i decided not to waste a couple of hundred quid on something they could not say would stay on more than a couple of days...So of to Halfords for some chrome in a can.......used it before ,not great but it,s not the cost of me new sprag either .....so after a day of putting on and taking of.... drilling, riveting,,,,,some swearing,,,they are on......they look ok ,bearing in mind these bumpers are possibly 40 years old.......Just need a set of turn signals and the front is all shiney :thumbright:
