In amongst the bickering there are some good points made in here.

Car show pics:
I tried posting some from the car shows we went to in 08 but got few replies or views. So I don't bother now.

Restoration pics:
I tried posting from some of the work I have done on my various cars but got few replies or views. So I don't bother now.

Racing Pics:
Posted pics of Bonneville but got few replies or views, I think I guess the result if I post pics of what I do for work!

Tech questions:
I have replied to these in the past but got little or no positive response (or just called a smart arse). I figure if anyone is actually interested in the engineering design aspects they will contact me in person. No-one has yet.

Having a good tech person to mod the tech section and maintain stickies:
We had that, he gave it all up after people on this board got nasty.

So for me I think we have a case of reaping what you sow. After the big bust up a couple of years back, when Alex quit, the new mods got a chance to shape the board the way they want it. And what, now everyone is complaining about the way it is now and basically asking for it to go back to how it was?

If people actually want to see pictures of what I am doing, then tell me and I'll post some more (I just get the impression of lack of responses that no-one really cares). Personally I really like to see work done by others and see tech questions answered. That is really the only reason I come on here and the drop off in that material is leading me to question if it is worth renewing next year.

It's not the moderators or the committee that shape the MB James, it's the members. If suggestions are ever made that the MB is steered more specifically towards Mopar related topics there is a significant amount of objection towards this. If members don't make the sort of posts they would like to see themselves, the flavour and usage of the MB will never go in that direction. The committee or the moderators dictating the way the MB is used is not an option, that is down to the members.

Well put, Martin.

I don't comment on all the posts I read (as others have stated before), but appreciate the photos/write ups from shows/meets etc as much as the next person. Just don't see the need to put up a 'great photos' etc message at every point.
Hope all keep on keeping on. :thumbright: :mytwocents:

James, I have just taken some time out to check out your posts and relevant replies.

I don't think you have any reason at all to feel so hard done by.

The level of responses to posts fluctaute with the level of interest to those that happen to be on the board at a particular time, the relevance of the headline and in many ways the style in which the post is constructed, it's the nature of all message boards.

Personally, I think the board has more interesting content now than it has had in years and we have the active members of the club to thank for that, the moderators have little effect in overall content other than to remove the dross.

Cheer up mate and think positive, we still love you!

...and Laura! ;)
