Further to Wendy's case of not being allowed in with her 1974 car it seems a 1974 Rolls Royce is the star of the show. Maybe it is the country's fastest wedding car but Wendy also drives the country's fastest Starsky and Hutch Torino. Maybe it has a few more horses and a load of engineering built in, but it is still a Bananarama! wedding car. It most definately seems that there are rules for some and different rules for other at NSRA events. I shall be giving it a miss this year anyway.

Shame you wont be there Dave. I think Wendy should just turn up, the Torino's a beautiful sight and would be sure to entertain the crowds - it would be a brave official that would turn her away and i reckon there would be one bananarama of an outcry!

One year they said I could not use the Coronet as it was on an X plate.

I explained.......

He then asked how does he know that it is a 66? I replied, "ask any of the car enthusiasts here" He was a little miffed!

But hark at you guys! Some of you are the ones, that complain about the Beetles being at the track. And a lot of them are more period correct and in the spirit than a lot of Mopars.

But it happens here.... 1974 being the cut off for nostalgia cars... Others can still race, just can't enter the comps. But then you guys rarely have comps.

I say that the NSRA are not entering into the spirit.

I would go Wendy, I am sure you will get on the track. If they start bleating, make a fuss, show the tossers up! Show em what REAL spirit is!
I am keeping this Mopar....... SOLD!

Hi guys
Dave has had reply saying I can't race cause rules have changed that's cool but ok she is not pre 73 but in spirit of hot rod category we googled what is a hot rod ? It defines a hot rod as an old cheap car lower it done ! Change or tune engine to give more power done ! Add fat wheels for traction done ! And paint it to make it stand out ? Like to see one that stands out better! so she is within the spirit of hot rods Bananarama! them I am going to get my 12 and I really really mean this thank you all for your support you have helped make my car as fast as she is taught me loads since 2006 so I can maintain and develop her knowing I have very experienced mates that can give me sound advice that don't treat me any different from the next guy xx see you there chaps let's kick arse xxx

Good on you Wendy, just remember, if they say you can't get in because it is a 74.....just ask them why they allowed 74 fiats and a 74 Rolls Royce in this year?

Good luck with the 12 :thumbright:
