Ok finally some pics :thumbright:

I've been off all week doing bits and bobs, but i leave for Holland for 10 weeks this Sunday so its down too Jimmy and the Valley Gas guys to do the rest.

The plan is to take the truck to Chimay to the 2nd HotRod and Custom show at the end of June.

I went to the first one 2 years ago and it was a blast, they have Oval racing, Drag racing, Live music and the local Monks make some Killer booze oh and the weather was scorching :thumbright:

I traveled from The Hague last time nearly five hours on the train!!!
So i'm determined to drive this time 8-)

The truck is stripped ready for the chassis to be boxed and the front IFS and the 9inch rear to fitted.

New steering column and brake master cylinder is on order some switches for the dash also.

These photo's are from a few weeks ago, i'm waiting for the later photo's to be sent to me, i'll post them as soon as they arrive.

Here we go again :thumbright:

Hi To All

Ok new pics just in so as promised here they are,

Front and rear glass is back in with new rubbers after etch primer and paint, I couldn't leave the paint as it was, it was far too thin for our weather and the truck will be out in all weathers.
So to keep things simple it'll be Matt Black for the time being.
When the final Engine and Trans find its way into the truck all being well it'll have a proper coat of paint then.

I've etch primed and stone chip underneath where the new fuel tank will go after a small mod to the fuel lines.

Jimmy will start the boxing of the chassis at the beginning of the month and hopefully one if not both axles will start seeing some work

Hi to All

Ive just scored a 302 and gearbox for the truck, so this time it'll be a F$%d in a F$%d :thumbright:

I'm going to keep the shifter on the column which I miss since letting my 69 Chevelle go

Hi
Mossy68 the Jag went after head gasket issues, which was a shame cos it was a cracking motor.

Carl I'm loving that truck 😎

Hi to All

Latest pics from Valley Gas
The truck is now on its wheels with both axles in, the rear shackles had to move down slightly on the chassis to make up the wood under the rear wheel.
Without the wood under the wheel the truck cab had a noticeable lean to the rear.
The truck is as low as I'd dare go with the amount of speed bumps in the country!!!!
The engine should be back next week after being rebored for its new pistons, then once the engine and box is in the axle pads can be welded on and the propshaft measured and ordered :D

Hi Chaps

Yeah its staying on the Steels but they'll be black maybe with a trim ring but probably wire woolled as well to get it the same as the top trim on the cab to break things up a little

VG does some great work very happy with the work on my Coupe and the truck
