The Corvette is worse for that.
The wife goes in a panic every time I suggest selling it. Her sister who laughed at my "absurd" Challenger asked me to take her for a ride in the Corvette.
Her MOTHER who HATES cars and dives what looks like a box with 4 wheels asked me twice if we could use the Vette over Christmas.

The women just love the damn thing for some reason.

Mini headlamps won’t fit yours Steve, they’re 7”, yours are 5 ¾”. The 7” lamps are normally found on vehicles with only 2 lamps; mkI Escort, Mini, Barracuda, etc, the 5 ¾” lamps are normally found on vehicles with 4 lamps; Capri, Charger, Polara, etc,

I know what you mean about the flatter look of the newer lamps, not an issue for me so much as they’re covered unless they’re on, and I guess if they’re on you don’t want to be looking at them :D

For you it maybe more of an issue to keep the original look

I’m sure you can get 5 ¾” halogen lamps with a more domed glass to look like an old sealed beam

Just I don’t know where from

I remember Dave posted something, or a make of lamp, sometime ago (could have been a few years ago), I think they might have been Hella 5 ¾” halogen lamps … ??

:thumbright:
DOH !! I meant mini as in small units as is in 53/4 ....sorry my mistake for no re reading....i need them for the HIDs...i have them so i know they are the right size :thumbright:

I could be very easily swayed!!! A dream car! My car is an affordable means to get driving a Mopar instead of just dreaming about driving one.... Would be saving forever for Daves Challenger so very happy with my old girl! And she had really got me into C bodies which is good as I only ever really looked at musclecars and thought I would never own anything Mopar!

Would be nicer if it had four doors but cant be too picky eh! :D :D :D

At least when I get the lights finished you will see me coming long before I get there! :thumbright: :thumbright:

I think that was about 54,000 Euros at the time.

No I can't afford Challengers either. :(

Out of interest Dave (apart from the sale add) have you heard anything about your Challenger since it left with its new owner???

Last I heard someone offered him that advertised price (he wasn't expecting that as he only advertised it to keep his wife happy) so he told the guy it was no longer for sale.

But then the guy got back to him and said "If it is just a matter of money - name your price".

So he called me in a panic because he didn't know what to do as he doubted he would ever afford another one as good.

So I said "welcome to my world mate". Because it was exactly the same situation I had been in.

I never heard from him again so I don't know if he took the money or not.

Here's a few shots of the Autopal lights installed - should give you a better idea of how they look.

They look spot on Adrian, thanks for the pics. Found the Autopals online at Holden UK.... They use different part numbers so just waiting for them to let me know if the ones they list are 103s or the flatter 104s... They havent got back to me yet, they look great on your car!!

Cheers Steve
