I have a car in the US that i purchased some time ago. I would reiterate the point that you have to dig around for bargains. You don't see as many classics as you may think....There seems to be good opportunity's at car meets... if you can look wtihin the area you are heading.

he was telling me that ther had been some challenge or court case that had been brought against customs and excise, regarding their random application of what was rare and original and what wasn't.
seemingly this has had quite an impact.
he was telling me this as we wondered betwen meetings at work so i might have it arse about whatsit, but i'm sure he'll pop up and give us the run down.
my own car in 2004 would have been the only one running and MOTed in the UK. My shippers said no chance so i paid reduced (having owned for 3 years in country of orgin) tax but not the 5% band
