Hi Stuart,
Interesting question, XK8 v 72 Challenger, both fun W.E. cars the Jag was extremely reliable, but my Challenger seems to be proving reliable too (no oil leaks). The Jag was defiantly easy to start the engine. I lost more money in the Jags nine years of ownership than I have paid for both buying and fully restoring my Challenger. Cornering on the Jag is obviously better, I am running a 383ci motor, I think the Jag had the edge on gas mileage but you cannot beat the raw power and noise that the Mopar makes. Socially the Mopar is light years ahead with shows forum’s etc.
I am very pleased with owning my Mopar I can stand and just look at it in the garage, to me it’s like a piece of artwork and what collectable artwork could you buy for 30K. Go for it :-)

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C343708 as already said its the same as a Roadrunner shape wise and this one has a 400ci big block one of the best engines to stroke.
Is this not the same car linked on here a few months back. Was originally Silver and there were photo's on pebbled ground/beach/seaside location?????
Would have to ask (as it has been for sale for a while), why he has changed the color during trying to sell (prefer original silver tbh)?
Has quite a bit going for it i recon!

Yes Dave same car. I know if I had a spare 6k it would be sitting on my drive lot of car for the money. Now its in matt black it would have to be a stroker. I think you would have to go a long way find another for that money.

That is such a good price with a 400 even if its "still" a Satellite.

Welcome!
are Satellites really that much below a Roadrunner- even if its got a 400?

t's difficult to say Stuart, its worth whatevers someone's willing to pay.
I suppose the argument against a Satellite will cost just as much as a road runner to do work on but its eventual value is perhaps quite significantly less, despite the fact they are in most respects the same car.
It's all to do with rarity and desireability.

It's a good price because it looks like Bananarama!.

I think Richie fitted a brand new headliner in matching blue (it has a blue interior) but the last guy ripped it out for some reason?
I heard something like that anyway.
The 400 was well tuned by a US speed shop back in the day and obviously before being brought over to teh UK. The recent owners may not realise that.

True but a genuine RR will cost you 2 or 3 times as much to buy

do you mean "s**t"": or "mutton dressed as lamb"! :lol:Id consider a car that needed light restoration but not loads of welding.
I know the colours not to everyones taste but I like the look of a car like this?

I'm wary of buying a car which has been tarted up though- I saw that chanel 5 program a few months back.

Welcome aboard Stuart, I think Dave is saying S**T with the matt black etc!
Satellites are good value, simply because they don't have the kudos of the Road Runner, however the Sport Satellites are much, much rarer than Road Runners and a good buy in my opinion.
Just my tuppence worth!
