Yes you're absolutely right Carl, the trouble with my car is i dont want it to be that far away from road legal and want to retain stock steering lock. I do need to drop the front a little more and this is going to mean i have to further radius the front fender arches to clear the tyres. Also i need the headers to be tucked up a little more but i think Anton is going to take care of that shortly. All this and a few engine mods should see the car go to another level this year .... i hope!

Welcome to the club Raven.
Nice collection! In regards to the RR, I love Superbirds but also think the the 70 RR has the nicest front end of any Mopar so would be a shame to hide it under a nose, so I'd go for something similar to Dunc old one, rear wing, paint & decals just no nose cone.
But at the end of the day as Dave said it's your car & go with what you feel.
But whatever you decide just make sure you post us plenty of photos!!

This would be the route I would seriously consider, simple but effective and no drilling holes also easy to put back to stock

Thanks guys for all the posts and suggestions - I'm liking this club already
So the rear wing only is not entirely a no-no and I like the picture of Duncans RR - doesn't look wrong at all.
I do think the SB's are just amazing but it doesn't make me want to go that route with my front end....
AND with those comments and pics from Carl and Don, you're slowly bringing me back to the Petty replica. Are you sure there aren't any other 70 RR short track petty clones in the UK? I just think it would be extremely embarrassing to turn up to a show and find another one........

Hi no my runner is the only one that was over here with just a wing and the flat front i built that car for hara circuit racing, i to think the front on a road runner looks so hard so did not go the superbird route, my car is now in holland,

Only joking mate.
As far as I know there's not a Petty 70 runner over here.
Go for it !
