I see a weather forecast sez pi55 movin across country north eastwards after about 8 from MK so by the time I get caught speedin near Duxford at 9.30 Bananarama!'ll be fine Bananarama! trust me mates
I feel like I got flu so no Bananarama! man hugs eh?
........oh yeah that's just johnS innit sorry
Yesterdays trip to the timber yard may not have been a wise move, I got up early as I generally do and went to put camera and stuff in the car and both near side tyres are flat as a pancake As none of the tyre shops in the town open until 10am on sunday looks like I will be giving this a miss. Sorry people will have to catch up with you at shakey at the end on the month....
Yep I bailed out too got to the fuel station about a mike from me house & the attendant (yeah we still got em at Shel!) sez; "nice car mate, is that front tyre sposed to be that low?!"
No mate it's Bananarama! flat
Just got it back home & now it's pi55in down again so no ridin there either.......
I think this is Gods way of punishing me for takin the pi55 out of Johnny
Blimey did anyone go? Weather has been a bit changeable here today, but there was some aircraft action over the workshop, couple of modern fighters and a P51 Mustang among others.
Yes, a bedraggled and motley crew turned up, some shirkers cried off
Great to see some old faces and meet some new ones - that's what it was all about really. It was never about the "Car Show" as it was indeed full of Minis and assorted crap, but there were a couple of gems there, 2 lovely Mercedes 190's for example and the ubiquitous XKE's.....
I think we are all getting cabin fever and want to get back to the track ASAP (although most of us are not ready for that either with the Picnic only about 3 weeks away).
Not a lot of air action, I only really saw the Anglified ME109, though someone was telling me that the ONLY original ME109 in the world is flying from Canada to be stationed at Duxford this year. To me that sounds a fair swap for Jeff Brown
Limited pictures to follow. Can't be arsed at the moment....
Had to wash my car to go there, had to Bananarama! (in the rain!!!!) when I got back......cars, ehhh?

Dunc, when Pete says 190 Mercs, he meant 190SL roadsters from the late 50's, kinda like the drophead version of the gullwing. The silver one there was simply stunning ...
Glad you made it back safely, Don; good to see you buddy, and indeed everyone else - it ws a great mix of cars, pity we could not park in our allotted slot due to being over-run by Gee-Whizz cars (could could not make this up)....however, it all turned out well in the end.......
Yeah made good time mate despite the idiots that just sit in the overtaking lane and refuse to move over. Good to see you today mate, really enjoyed it. Here is our small yet select gathering of Mopars (except the odd one out!) (on the next page)
