You are correct Carl...looks like a holden Monaro also...did you get to know my mate Keith Homes from Preston? he used to run the uk Opel Club....he lived in Germany for 9 years has a lot of experiance with them.. would say the new Dodge Charger a future Classic...i want a 2006 in Black

Old series 2 xj still affordable... a lot of car for the money......seen a few good ones under 6k.....with MOT but needing welding 2/3K had one for 3 years daily driver lovely to drive and has the classic style.....this was my 78.

MY Dad and his mate think Ford Scorpio's dad has a good one now... and his mate has about 4 plus tons of parts he has been buying from the banger racers before they destroy them all.

i bought a mid 80s cavalier 1.3 back end of last year with 35k on clock(dont ask me why)
doubled my money on it a few months later-couldnt beleive the interest i had on ebay for it ,thousands of views-go figure......
i think any car/model with originality and low miles (that was mass produced and then rotted away/scrapped) will always be collectable.
mk1/2 fiestas,escort vans,xr2s even sierras etc all going up.........

i have a `61 triumph herald coupe in bits,used to pick up the saloon version for 75-100 quid but not anymore.............

time and nostalgia have a big effect on prices not just limited production.

I bought a 1949 model year series one 80" Land Rover for £500 twenty years ago, must be worth upwards of £2000 now.
Was just an old Land Rover then.

im partial to a 190e merc ,great cars and still cheap,climbing the ladder very slowly ,e30s have gone mad now

Less than 10 years ago - £75k. Now £750k+

I See R32 Skylines are finally taking off, often thought about a tidy one of those.

M3 CSL and Alfa Romeo 8C (the new one) are already modern classics and appreciating.

I think the R34 is when it REALLY started to happen for skyline mass-market notoriety - the GranTurismo set; playstation generation. Clean ones of these must be rocking-horse poo - they are all modded to insanity.

I still think Jap stuff will get there. R34s, RX7s, early integras etc. Alright, not stratospheric stuff (Toyota 2000Gt anyone?), but will head north.
