Looking forward to the weekend men.....

One final piece of house keeping.

Can you please make sure that your car access pass has the letter 'B' written on it clearly where it says STAND NUMBER

This is the note from the organisers.....

'I have attached for your attention a copy of the block number your club stand will be positioned on, please could you distribute to all members and ask them to display this in their windscreen prior to arrival, Alternatively please make a note of this letter on the vehicle pass where it asks for a stand number. It is very important all vehicles have this letter clearly displayed to ensure a smooth and quick process at point of entry'.

Cheers Steve

What a fantastic weekend....first time for me and what a show!!

Loved all the aeroplane stuff (Spitfires, Hurricanes, P51 and Lancaster) and the car displays and live action on the 1/8th mile was great. Don, that was a close one at the end of the straight. Bit of a dick measuring contest on the right hander but looked like you won!! The guy in the red Cortina rally car stole the show for me and the group B rally cars were awesome.

Really nice to see (amongst others) Don, John, Dave, Neale, Chris, Ewan, Joe, Skippy and associated girlies. Great cars and thanks for supporting the club. Our display looked great and we had plenty of attention.

Will definitely be at this one again and thanks to all for making the organising very easy. Special thanks to Dave for bringing the Mopar flag that we used on the display......cheers Steve

Thanks Steve

Great to see you and the gang again, bit wild in the bar Saturday night with Dancing Dave and i in a trolley on the dance floor ..... as you do!

All in all a good weekend, with plenty to see and do.

Yeah it was a win, in fact i won all my races, some were close, some not, the race Sunday morning was between my mate Charlie with the 9 sec Nova and i, and that was with my trans slipping in 3rd so that was me out the competition and loaded by lunchtime.

Well done all involved. Shame Roydon's Barracuda didn't make it at the last minute.

Yeah meant to mention this, Pete called me Friday evening at Sywell to say they just could'nt get the Cuda done in time. They had got it running but with minor problems they could not overcome in time. A real shame ... :(

yes a great weekend again , great racing, superb mix of cars, nice meal at the local(made a change from burning something on the bbq), riding around in a tin tub and watching Don and Chris fall out of it as well ,also had a good slam dance session with Neale
nice to see Steve and all the others on the stand.
Chris only packed the fly sheet for the tent so thanks to gtx Joe`s lad Euan for saving the day with his tent.
oh and singing to Glen Campbell at 2.30 in the morning with Joe-oh dear
:help:
had a nice chat on the stand sunday with new member Felix who has bought in a 340s 69 fastback barracuda so look forward to seeing that next year.

Yes the tin trolley saw some action in the bar. We were back at the trailer after being kicked out of the bar reciting a rather ermmmm 'different' version of the Elvis Presley classic "Suspicious Minds", this seemed to create a rather mixed reaction with our neighbours in the pits, this included "shut the f@ck up we're trying to sleep" and "what is that racket" The very next morning it ranged from "bloody awful" to "wtf" and a "please dont do it again"
